2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small files or information-storage devices that a website may place on the user’s browser or device when they visit it. They make it possible to store or retrieve certain information about browsing, user preferences, the session or how the services offered work.
Among other purposes, cookies may be used to keep a session open, remember the selected language, retain privacy preferences, measure page use or analyse general browsing behaviour.
In addition to cookies themselves, similar technologies may be used, such as session identifiers, tags, pixels or measurement tools, which allow information to be stored or accessed on the user’s device.
Depending on who manages them, cookies may be first-party, when sent from equipment or a domain managed by the website owner, or third-party, when sent from equipment or a domain managed by another entity that processes the data obtained through them.
3. Types of cookies used
3.1. Technical or strictly necessary cookies
These are essential to allow browsing, use the website’s core features, maintain user sessions, manage authentication or remember the choice made regarding cookies.
On Cerrajero Express, technical cookies related to Symfony sessions and user login may be used, as well as a cookie intended to remember whether the user has accepted or rejected non-essential cookies.
These cookies are necessary to provide features expressly requested by the user and therefore do not require prior consent when they strictly meet those conditions.
3.2. Preference or personalisation cookies
These allow certain user preferences to be remembered, such as the selected language, to provide a browsing experience adapted to their choices.
Cerrajero Express’s language cookie may be used to retain the user’s linguistic preference across visits or pages. Where its use is strictly necessary to provide a feature expressly requested, it may be exempt from consent. In other cases, the corresponding consent will be requested.
3.3. Analytics or measurement cookies
These allow statistical information about website use to be collected, general browsing behaviour to be analysed and how visitors interact with different pages and features to be understood.
Cerrajero Express uses a first-party analytics cookie called _pvid, intended to identify the visitor technically and measure browsing journeys within the platform.
This information may be used to analyse visits, journeys between pages, use of features and overall website performance, in order to improve operation and user experience.
Although it is a first-party cookie, its purpose is analytical and it is not strictly necessary to provide the service. It will therefore be used only when the user has previously given consent.
Additionally, the website may use Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics to manage tags and obtain browsing statistics, provided those tools are activated and the user has previously authorised the corresponding cookies.
3.4. Advertising or marketing cookies
These allow advertising campaigns to be measured, conversions to be attributed, ad effectiveness to be assessed or tracking related to digital marketing actions to be carried out.
Cerrajero Express may use Google Ads tools or other advertising identifiers integrated through tag-management tools, provided those features are actually configured and the user has given consent.
These cookies are not necessary to browse the website or request locksmith services. They will therefore remain disabled until the user has given the corresponding consent.
4. List of cookies used
The following table sets out the cookies and technologies planned for Cerrajero Express. Technical names, expiry dates and specific providers of optional tools may vary depending on the configuration actually implemented. Google cookies will be installed only if the corresponding integrations are activated and valid consent exists.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Consent cookie (technical name per configuration) | Necessary | Store the user’s choice regarding acceptance or rejection of non-essential cookies and remember their preferences. | According to the expiry configured in the consent-management system. | First-party. |

| Google Analytics cookies (if the integration is activated) | Analytics | Obtain browsing statistics and measure website use, subject to the user’s prior acceptance. | According to the effective Google Analytics configuration and cookies used. | Google (third party). |
| Google Ads cookies (if the integration is activated) | Marketing | Measure advertising campaigns, conversions and marketing results, subject to the user’s prior acceptance. | According to the effective Google Ads configuration and cookies used. | Google (third party). |
Note on names and durations: certain cookies may have different technical names depending on server configuration, the consent-management system or external tools used. Google cookies are not considered installed merely because integration of its services is possible. Their use depends on effective activation of the corresponding tags and on the user’s consent.
Google Tag Manager is a tag-management tool that controls the loading of certain third-party services. Using it does not necessarily mean a Google Tag Manager cookie of its own is installed. Any cookies that may be installed depend on the tags and services activated through that tool.
5. Legal basis for the use of cookies
The legal basis for strictly necessary technical cookies is the need to enable electronic communications or provide an information-society service expressly requested by the user, under Article 22.2 LSSI-CE.
Use of analytics cookies, advertising cookies and preference cookies that are not exempt from consent is based on the user’s free, specific, informed and unambiguous consent, under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR and Article 22.2 LSSI-CE.
The user may accept or reject non-essential cookies. Browsing the website, not responding to the banner or merely continuing the visit will not by themselves be treated as a valid expression of consent.
6. Consent management via the cookie banner
When the user first accesses Cerrajero Express, an information banner will be shown allowing cookie preferences to be managed.
The banner offers the following options:
- Accept: authorise use of the non-essential cookies described in this Policy, in line with the purposes informed.
- Reject: reject cookies that are not strictly necessary, keeping only those essential for the website to function.
Accept and reject options will be offered with equivalent visibility and ease of access, so the user can make a free choice without being forced to accept non-essential cookies to continue using the website.
The choice made will be stored via a consent cookie to remember the user’s preferences and avoid showing the banner repeatedly without need.
The user may later change or withdraw consent through the cookie-configuration panel enabled on the website. The configuration mechanism must allow preferences to be changed and previously accepted cookies to be rejected with ease equivalent to that used to accept them.
7. How to manage and delete cookies from the browser
In addition to the options available in the Cerrajero Express banner, the user may configure their browser to block, restrict or delete cookies already installed.
Major browsers offer options to view stored cookies, delete them individually, block cookies from certain websites or set general restrictions.
- Google Chrome: allows cookies and site data to be managed from its privacy and security section.
- Mozilla Firefox: offers tracking protection and cookie-management options in its privacy settings.
- Microsoft Edge: allows cookie storage to be configured and browsing data deleted from its privacy options.
- Safari: allows cookies and website data to be managed from the browser’s privacy settings.
The exact configuration depends on the browser version and device used. The user should consult the browser’s official instructions for detailed information.
Blocking or deleting technical cookies may affect certain services, such as login, retention of preferences or maintenance of a user session.
Deleting cookies from the browser is not always equivalent to withdrawing consent recorded in the preference-management system. To formally change the choice made, it is also recommended to use the website’s cookie-configuration panel.
8. Third-party cookies and international transfers
Where the user authorises use of Google Analytics or Google Ads tools, certain browsing data and identifiers may be processed by Google according to the activated features and its respective privacy policies.
Use of these services may mean that certain data are processed by entities located outside the European Economic Area or that access to them from third countries is allowed.
Where international data transfers occur, they must be carried out under Chapter V GDPR, via a European Commission adequacy decision, standard contractual clauses or another legally valid safeguard mechanism.
Accepting cookies must not be interpreted as automatic acceptance of international transfers that require an independent legal safeguard. For more information on personal data processing, see the Privacy policy.
9. Changes to this Cookie Policy
Cerrajero Express may update this Policy when regulatory, technical or functional changes occur on the website, when new cookies or analytics and advertising tools are added, or when the information provided must be adapted to the criteria of competent authorities.
When new cookies are introduced or the purposes of existing ones change, the corresponding information will be updated and consent will be requested where legally required.
Users are advised to consult this Policy periodically to learn which cookies are actually used and which configuration options are available.
